I am thrilled to be named a finalist for the 2022 ScreenCraft Sci-Fi & Fantasy Screenplay Competition for my script “Spectacle.”
I wrote “Spectacle” in March 2020 at the onset of the pandemic. It’s the story of a lonely artist who meets a charming photographer on a train. Her search for love uncovers a sinister experiment that shatters everything she thought she knew about her past and her identity.
When I first wrote “Spectacle,” I received rejections from several competitions but I never gave up. Big shout out to Kate Maruyama who gave me notes on how to improve the story and challenge myself as a writer. I kept rewriting and researching and here we are folks. Congrats to all the finalists!
