I have a new short story “70 Decibels” over at Speculative City magazine. This issue plays with the theme of “sound.” I was inspired to write about a future where noise is hyper-regulated and people walk around in fear of the Amp Patrol. What would your life look like if you were jailed (or worse) for making a sound over 70 decibels? Blasting music as you cruise down the street? Block parties? Boisterous cookouts? Forget about it!
I hope you give the story a read. I haven’t written a speculative fiction piece in a minute and it feels good to re-enter the world of “What if?” I love the work Speculative City is doing and I’m thrilled to be included in this issue.
